Emily Jones Daniel, 81, of Williamsburg, Virginia and formerly Bedford, Virginia passed away on June 27, 2026.
She was born December 30, 1944 and was preceded in death by her parents, Christine and Charlie Jones.
Emily’s career as a registered nurse spanned 45 years. She worked in the operating rooms of Bedford Memorial, Roanoke Memorial and Lynchburg General Hospitals before retiring.
She loved visiting the beach, traveling, was cat lover and a dedicated bridge player. Emily was also an avid UVA Cavaliers basketball and football fan. She was active in her younger years with community organizations such as the Bedford Junior Women’s Club, where she served for a period as President. She also enjoyed participating in the Bedford Historical Society and the Red Hat Society.
Emily is survived by her daughter, Cindy Daniel.
