Dennis “Bobcat” Rhea Boswell, 61, of West Point, VA passed away peacefully on November 28th, 2025, surrounded by his family. Dennis was known for his selfless warm heart, contagious sense of humor, and unwavering dedication to family, friends, and the great outdoors. He lived a life rich of experiences and love. He was hard-working and dedicated to anything he set out to do.

Born on July 6th, 1964 son of Betty and Richard Boswell, Dennis was a lifelong resident to West Point, VA. He graduated from King William High School in 1982 and started working for West Point Glass shortly after. He briefly worked for Tidewater Glass in Kilmarnock before starting Boswell’s Glass in 1988. He successfully owned and operated his business located in White Stone for 27 years, until beginning his true calling as a wildlife preserve manager in 2015.

Dennis’ hobbies and interests helped define who he was. He was an avid hunter for over forty years. He also enjoyed fishing, trapping, and planting food plots. On the weekends, he reveled in watching NASCAR, the Dallas Cowboys, or the New York Yankees in his garage. His love for the outdoors was something he shared with his wife, his daughter, countless friends and may youngsters who he took under his wing, leaving a mark that will never fade.

He is survived by his wife of 20 years (together for 30) Lisa Holt Boswell, his daughter Emily Fox (Devin) and soon to be heaven-sent grandson Mason. Dennis is also survived by extended family and many friends who he believed were family.

Per Dennis’ wishes, no services will be held at this time. The family plans to have a celebration of life sometime in the upcoming year. May everyone find comfort in knowing that Dennis’ legacy lives on through the lessons he taught us, the love he shared, and the memories we will cherish forever.

A celebration of Dennis’ life will be held 2 PM, Saturday, May 16, 2026 at Vincent Funeral Home, 417 11th St., West Point, VA with a BBQ dinner and fellowship to follow at his home, 179 Boswell Lane, West Point, VA 23181.
