Morton C. Miles Jr., age 99, died on April 22, 2026.
He was born December 5, 1926 in Henderson, North Carolina. When he was ten years old, he made Jesus Christ his Lord. He graduated from Henderson High School in 1944. He served in the Navy as a hospital corpsman from 1944 to 1946, he attended Wake Forest College and East Carolina College from 1946 to 1950.
He was a telegraph operator for the Seaboard Railroad from 1950 to 1951. He worked for Colonial Williamsburg as a hotel sales representative from 1952 to 1991.
He enjoyed his retirement because of his personal relationship with Jesus Christ.
He was preceded in death by a son David Miles and is survived by his son Scott Miles (Lois), two granddaughters Shelley Miles and Haley Miles, and two nieces Betsy and Anne.
He requested that instead of a funeral or flowers, he would like his friends to give a gift of love to someone in need or to Hospice of Williamsburg.
