Sara C. Piersa passed away peacefully in the early morning hours of April 13, 2026.
She was preceded in death by husbands, Kelly L. Blackwell, Sr. and Joe Piersa; parents, Julian N. Capps, Sr. and Rosa B. Capps as well as brother Julian N. Capps, Jr.
Sara is survived by her children, Barbara D. Cook and Kelly L. Blackwell, Jr. (Catherine); grandchildren, Carmen Cowan (William), Sara Edison (Charles), Katelyn Cunningham (Michael), Makenzie Wetzel (Brady), Hunter Blackwell (Sera); eleven great-grandchildren and nine great-great children.
She will be fondly remembered for her high-spirited personality, her sense of humor and her love for her family. Her family and friends will keep her memory alive for generations.
