Barbara W. Reny, born on July 2, 1949, in Keene, New Hampshire, passed away on April 14, 2026, in Williamsburg, Virginia, at the age of 76.

Barbara was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and professional who touched the lives of many with her kindness and dedication. She earned her Bachelor’s degree from Canisius College, which laid the foundation for her distinguished career as a Computer Programmer for the U.S. Army. Her work was characterized by a commitment to excellence and service to her country.

Beyond her professional achievements, Barbara was known for her love of collecting Beanie Babies, a hobby that brought her joy and connected her with a community of fellow enthusiasts. Her greatest passion, however, was her family. She cherished spending time with her granddaughters Katlyn, Sarah, and Emily, as well as her grandsons William and Collin. The arrival of her great-grandson added an extra layer of happiness to her life.

Barbara is preceded in death by her beloved stepson, Michael Reny, and her parents, William H. and Eloise E. Watson. She is survived by her devoted husband, Donald Reny; her daughter, Cara Reznick; her brother, Doug Watson; her sister, Phyllis Rogers; and her cherished grandchildren. Her family and friends will remember her as a loving and compassionate woman.

A public visitation will be held on Friday, May 1st, from 2-3 pm at Bucktrout Funeral Home, with a service to follow at 3 pm. In celebration of Barbara’s life, a reception will be held afterward at her favorite restaurant, Golden Corral, where her loved ones can gather to share memories and honor her legacy.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Heritage Humane Society, reflecting Barbara’s lifelong love for animals and her generous spirit.
