Cliff Blakemore, of Midlothian, VA, passed away on April 1, 2026, after a twenty-five year battle from an accident. Before his challenging health conditions and long into, Cliff loved to fish, was fantastic at restoring cars, a natural when it came to cooking great dishes, and enjoyed his two sons. He was a devout Christian of the Catholic faith.
He is survived by his mother, Nancy D. Cleveland, of Providence Forge, VA; his sons, Adam Blakemore and Daniel Blakemore; his brothers, Cleveland Blakemore of Appalachia, VA, and cousins, Cooper and Hunter; Christopher Blakemore and Nikki Blakemore of North Chesterfield, VA, cousins, Morgan, Madison, Josh and Emily; step-brother, MacArthur Cleveland of Galion, OH, cousins, Ben, Jacob, Austin and Tristyn; his uncle, John House and aunt, Janet, their great-grandson, Greyson, of Charlottesville, VA, and cousins, Tereasa, Tim, Lisa, and Matt; aunt, Bette House-Myers and uncle, John House-Myers, of Concord, NH, and cousins, Caitlen, Liam, and Conor.
A gathering will be held on Wednesday, April 22, 2026, from 2:00 pm to 2:30 pm for friends and family at Powhatan Community Cemetery, Old Buckingham Road, Powhatan, VA, where he will be laid to rest. His maternal grandparents are also at Powhatan Cemetery.
Cliff always said he would take care of Shogun, his mother’s Shih-Tzu, who went to Heaven in February of 2026…they must be exploring up there together!
