Corine Adkins Bailey, 85, of Providence Forge, VA, passed away peacefully on February 25, 2026. She was born to the late Dudley W. Adkins, Sr. and Vernell Stewart Adkins on February 13, 1941.
Corine, affectionately known by family as “Co” or “Aunt Co”, was educated in the Charles City school system. She accepted Christ at an early age and was a lifelong devoted member of Old Elam Baptist Church. She loved cooking, planning holiday meals, shopping, and word search puzzles. She was preceded in death by her husband, Leon W. Bailey; brothers, Welton, Fredrick, and Augustine Adkins; sister, Eloise Keeton, and son-in-law, Irving L. Crewe, Jr.
Corine leaves to cherish her memory, daughters, Annette Jacobs and Gail Crewe; son-in-law, Robert Jacobs, Jr.; grandsons, Nicholas Crewe and Robert Jacobs III, and granddaughter, Samantha Crewe. She also leaves behind five brothers, Malachi (Rozelle), Joel (Susie), Dudley Jr. (Anna), Timothy (Alberta) and Marvin (Sheletha), along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Family and Friends will remember her for her warmth and generosity. Her legacy of love, kindness, and dedication will live on in the hearts of all who knew her. She will be deeply missed but forever remembered.
