Bryan Augustus Norsworthy, 58, of Williamsburg

Bryan Augustus Norsworthy (Bucktrout Funeral Home)

Bryan Augustus Norsworthy, 58, of Williamsburg, Va entered his eternal rest on Saturday, February 28th 2026. He was born in Richmond, Va on June 27th 1967.

He was preceded in death by his father Francis Page Norsworthy Jr.

He is survived by his wife, Grace Norsworthy; children, Gus Norsworthy (Mason Pope), Martha Page Norsworthy (Clayton Evelyn) and Libbie Norsworthy; mother, Rebecca Minor Norsworthy; siblings Kevin (Susie) and Page Norsworthy; as well as extended family and friends.

Bryan was a brilliant man. He thrived on helping others succeed, no matter their goals, as long as they proved passion and drive. Bryan graduated from York High School in 1985. He went on to obtain a B.S. in Building Construction at Virginia Tech where he met his wife, Grace. Go Hokies! He knew what he wanted to do at a young age and never settled for less. One of Bryan’s greatest accomplishments was the company and business he built through hard work and dedication. He built a team that turned into family.

Despite his business success, Bryan’s greatest accomplishment was his family. Between all of his children’s sports games and horse shows, he was ALWAYS there cheering them on, reminding them that he was their biggest fan. With each of them inheriting his drive and passion to make a life for themselves, all three children followed in his large footsteps right into Blacksburg, Va to carry on the family tradition of becoming a Hokie.

Bryan always loved to be near the water. His favorite place was the Outer Banks, where he always found serenity and peace. So many memories were shared with friends and family in that special place. Behind closed doors, Bryan was fighting his own battles. Alcoholism

began to creep in and steal the mind of such a smart and caring man. In sharing his truth, his loved ones hope to honor his life fully and raise awareness of a disease that affects countless families.

Anyone who knew Bryan knew his love for Grace and their children. Grace and Bryan were married for 32 years. Time and time again he fought for sobriety, but the grasp that alcohol had was seemingly impossible to escape. Despite his sincere efforts to quit, he was never able to truly leave it behind. The grasp got stronger and tore into every aspect of his life. Pain was inflicted and mistakes were made. Even then he wanted to choose his loved ones over alcohol, but the hold it had on him became stronger than his will alone.

We share this to honor his truth and help others recognize the path that addiction can pave. Bryan will be remembered for the way he always showed up for everyone and his generosity to help anyone who needed it. He will be remembered for the incredible father, husband, son, brother and friend he was. His legacy will live on through the stories shared and the love he leaves behind.

A visitation will be held from 6-8pm at Bucktrout of Williamsburg on Friday, March 6th 2026 with a service and reception being held the following day also at Bucktrout of Williamsburg, Saturday March 7th 2026 from 9-11am.
