Russell Lee Jones of Charles City, passed away February 3, 2026 at the age of 87.
Born in Ettrick, VA to Wilton & Ann Jones, Russell spent his younger years working on the family farm. He left school at the age of sixteen to join the Navy, where he spent the next six years. Russell wore many hats over the years, however the two career paths he retired from were service manager at Cummins in Richmond and owner of Port Richmond Auto Parts in West Point.
Russell was a homebody living on the river who loved golf, boating and fishing (even though he refused to eat any type of fish). He is survived by his wife of 61 years Nancy (Crump) Jones; their three children, daughter Kris Jones, and sons Keith Jones (Jenny) and Kevin Jones (Heather). Russell is also survived by his seven grandchildren and an abundance of great-grandchildren.
At his request, a public service will not be held.
