Elizabeth Haynes Hagerty, 58, of West Point, Virginia passed away after a brief battle with pancreatic cancer on Tuesday, January 20, 2026.
In her free time, Betsy enjoyed traveling to both the beach and the mountains, finding serenity in the scenic views. She believed life should be enjoyed with family, friends, and a margarita close at hand. Overall, her favorite way to pass the time was with her grandkids.
Betsy was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas “T. A.” and Darinda Haynes.
She is survived by her husband of 36 years, Chris Hagerty; her three children, Haley Oliver and her husband, Matthew, Zachary Hagerty and his wife, Autumn, and Brianna Kidd and her husband Kaleb; five grandchildren, Landon, Easton, Brynleigh, Miley, and Lyla; her brother, Matt Haynes (Melinda); her sister, Kathy Cobb (Rob); her Aunt Mary Cannon; special friends, Peggy, Shara, and Jennifer; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
