Martha Ellen Burton Bivins, 81, of Mechanicsville, VA passed away December 3, 2025, just two weeks shy of her 82nd birthday. Martha was a devoted follower of Christ so we can be assured that her next birthday will be spent in His presence.
Martha is survived by her son, Brad Bivins (Conde); three grandchildren, Eric Bivins (Ashley), Alex Bivins (Colby) and Kaylee Landry (Daniel); five great-grandchildren, Donavan, Sydney, E.J, Katara and Boden. She is also survived by devoted caregivers, Violet and Dawn of “The Haven”; a devoted sister, Ann Carter; three brothers, Buck Burton (Judy), John Burton (Margie) and Mike Burton (Pam); a brother-in-law, Floyd Philbates; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held 11 a.m., Wednesday, December 10th at Vincent Funeral Home, 417 11th St., West Point, VA. The family will receive friends from 10-11 a.m., just prior to the funeral service. Interment will take place in Old Church Methodist Church Cemetery.
