Lindbergh C. Johnson, Jr, 75, of Providence Forge, VA, passed away on Friday, December 5, 2025.
He joined Little Elam Baptist Church at an early age and attended Ruthville High School. He was employed at Richfood in 1974 as a truck driver until his retirement in 2012. Lindbergh married the love of his life, Willie Jane Johnson, in June of 1976. He enjoyed spending time with his family and his beloved dog, Chico. His favorite hobbies were cutting wood, being on his tractor, and enjoying anything he could find to do outdoors. He was kindhearted—a gentle giant who would do anything to help anyone.
Lindbergh was preceded in death by his loving wife, Willie Jane; his parents, Lindbergh and Elizabeth Johnson; his brother, brother Erskin “Cornell” Johnson and brother-in-law/dear friend Allen “Hippo” Cotman.
He leaves to cherish his memory three daughters, Lawanda (Larry), Tammie, and June; one son, Lloyd (Charlene); one brother, Edward Johnson; five granddaughters; Lora Jones, Sonja Carter (Emanuel), Cheyenne Marshall, Jaylah Smith, and Nola Johnson; three grandsons, Jarvis Harris, Lloyd Carter, and Lloyd Jones (Monae); eleven great-grandchildren; three devoted aunts, Almeade Jones, Nannie Jones, and Denise Johnson; one niece, Brandi; four beloved sisters-in-law, Ann Tabb, Macie Johnson, Lou Ethel Craddock, and Hattie Evans; and a host of other nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
A funeral service will be held 12 Noon Friday, December 12, 2025, at Vincent Funeral Home, 9923 Pocahontas Trail, Providence Forge, VA 23140. A viewing will be held Thursday, December 11,2025, from 6PM-8PM. Interment to follow services in the Little Elam Baptist Church cemetery.
