Linda Pultz Hahne, age 83, beloved mother, grandmother, friend, and co-worker passed away peacefully in her Grandview Island home surrounded by her family and beloved kitties (Scarlett, Kai, Sabrina), on 10/27/25, due to Dementia related conditions.
She is preceded in death by her mother, Virginia Christie, father, Rudolph Braddy, husband Ray, her sons, Tommy Pultz and Gregg Hahne, and many of her Bath family who she loved deeply.
She is survived by her daughter, Tammy Austin (husband, Steve Martin), son, Reese Pultz (wife Tammy P.), daughter, Sandy Fuller (husband James), daughter, Debbie Hahne, grandchildren: Meghann Jesneck (husband Justin), David Hammett, Trevor Pultz, Gregg Hahne (wife, Simona), Briana Curcio, Savannah Fuller, and great-grandchildren: Cailin Hancock, Ryleigh and Isaac Hahne, many nieces and nephews, and dearest friends who she loved as family, especially Pam and Jim, and Judy. The family has great admiration and gratitude to Trevor for being his grandmother’s companion and primary care giver for many years.
Linda was born and lived in Bath, NC before moving to NN with her mom. She married Frank Pultz, had three children, and moved to Gloucester where she was co-owner and operator of Gloucester Point Campground in Hayes for many years. While working in the Camp Store, Linda cheerfully greeted campers from all over the country and she was loved by the regulars and was like a second mom to many kids. Linda and Frank divorced and she moved to NN. Linda earned her psychology degree and excelled as a family counselor in Riverside’s Drug and Alcohol Rehabilitation Ctr until she retired. There she met Ray, got married and they had happy years together with their joined family until he passed in 2012. After retiring from Riverside, Linda enjoyed working PT hours at LAFB on food demos and as was her way, made many friends. Linda loved traveling, the beach (especially Sanibel & Key Largo), fishing, shell and sea glass hunting, cooking, sewing, and craftmaking.
Linda was an animal lover, especially cats. We always joked she loved them more than us. She enjoyed holidays when all the family was together, especially Christmas. She adored her grandchildren and was called their “Attorney” because in her eyes, they did no wrong and if they did, they had a good reason!
Linda was a beautiful person – loving, devoted, supportive, smart, hardworking, and a fighter right up until she left this world. She is deeply missed and forever in our hearts. Heaven has gained a special angel.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, December 10, 2025 at Weymouth Funeral Home, 12746 Nettles Drive, Newport News, VA with visitation to follow.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that monetary donations be made in Linda’s name to either the Cat Corner in Hampton or the Peninsula Regional Animal Shelter in Newport News.
