Danko; his three children, Mr. and Mrs. Gerard Danko of Williamsburg, Va., James and Anna-Maria (Goossens) Danko of Holyoke, Mass., and Jeanne and Gary Feeney of Stony Point, N.Y.; and his brothers Martin Danko of South Fork, Colo., and Kevin Danko of Mahopac, N.Y. Gene was the proud grandfather of seven grandchildren: Samantha, Thomas, Tyler, Eliza, Lucy, James and Ryan. He also leaves behind several loving nephews and nieces who will cherish his memory.

Gene leaves behind a lasting legacy to those who loved him, knew him, agreed with him, and even disagreed with him. He was a passionate man who cared deeply for his family and friends, always making time to listen, support and connect with those around him. He always was there for someone in need.
He will be remembered for his love of history, his extensive library of books and antiques, his enjoyment of golf and his fondness for driving his Alfa Romeo Spider.
Gene will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
