Mary Aloma Hudson, beloved mother, grandmother, and devoted follower of Christ, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, October 17, 2025.
Born on November 30, 1942, Aloma lived a life defined by her deep faith, warmth, and unconditional love for others.
She was the heart of her family lovingly known as “Grammy” to everyone and her life revolved around caring for those she loved. Her home was a gathering place filled with love, prayer, and the comforting aroma of her incredible cooking. Aloma was not only the best cook but also a talented gardener who found peace and joy working in her yard and nurturing the beauty around her.
A lifelong sports fan, Aloma loved cheering on her favorite teams and never missed a chance to support her grandchildren in their games. Her enthusiasm and competitive spirit made her the loudest cheerleader in the stands and the first to celebrate a win.
Her quick wit and sense of humor brought joy to all who knew her. She loved to laugh with everyone especially her amazing friends. She found light even in hard times, and was a reminder that faith and laughter go hand in hand.
Above all, Aloma loved the Lord with her whole heart. Her faith guided every step of her life and inspired everyone who knew her. She had a gift for making people feel seen, loved, and welcomed. A true reflection of God’s love.
She is survived by her three children: Jeff Hudson (Deborah), Sheila Mangum (Steve), and Elizabeth Pinder (Chris); and was preceded in death by her former husband of 17 years Buddy Henry Hudson and son, Stephen William Hudson. She was a proud and devoted grandmother to 12 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren, each one blessed by her love, prayers, and presence.
Aloma’s family takes comfort in knowing she is now rejoicing in Heaven and reunited with loved ones who have gone before her. Her legacy of faith, family, and unconditional love will live on in every life she touched.
