Henry “Papa” George Hart passed away on October 25, 2025, in Williamsburg, VA.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy, where he honorably served his country in Vietnam. His distinguished military career earned him numerous commendations, including the Good Conduct Medal with three bronze stars, the National Defense Service Medal, the Vietnam Service Medal, the Combat Action Ribbon, the Navy Unit Commendation Ribbon, the Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal, and the Sea Service Deployment Ribbon with 12 stars.
Following his dedicated military service, Mr. Hart continued to contribute to his community by working as a Maintenance Technician for the Colonial Williamsburg Foundation.
Henry was preceded in death by his loving wife of 49 years, Billie Ann Elvis Hart and Parents Donat and Jean Hart. He leaves behind a loving family, including his daughter Tara Hart and her husband Scott Aylesworth, his former son-in-law Richard Hartman, his son Philip Hart, and his sister Susan Ames. He is also survived by his cherished grandchildren, Savannah Collier and her husband Tyler, Logan Hartman, Baylen Hart, Brooklyn Hart, and Gabriel Hart; as well as his great-grandchildren, Cadence Moser, Henry Moser, and Zoe Collier.
