Jerry Edward Walton, 63, of Lanexa

Jerry Edward Walton (Bucktrout Funeral Home)

Jerry Edward Walton, born on April 2, 1962, in Charleston and raised in Dunbar, West Virginia, decided to take his final ride on September 29, 2025, at the age of 63, in Lanexa, Virginia. Known for his love of motorcycles and his uncanny ability to fix just about anything, Jerry worked in his earlier life as a maintenance man for a hotel.

Jerry was a man who lived life in the fast lane, preferably on a Harley-Davidson. When he wasn’t tinkering with cars or cruising down the open road, he could be found spending quality time with his kids, who would often exclaim “Daddy, look!” as they shared adventures together. He had a special fondness for being out on the water, listening to music, and celebrating holidays with the kind of enthusiasm that only a true party aficionado could muster. And let’s not forget his dedication to the art of relaxation—he was, after all, a major pothead.

Preceded in death by his parents, Jerry Lee Walton and Phyllis Walton, his uncle Delbert Matheny, and his nephew Zachary Conley, Jerry leaves behind a family who will miss him dearly. His children, Jerry, Katelynn, and Miranda Walton, will carry on his legacy of adventure and humor. His sister Michele Conley and her husband Ben, grandchildren Journey, Aliyah, Josiah, and Jalisha, along with niece Chelsea Conley and her children Logan, Zachary Lee, and Bella, and his adopted daughter Sam Rivas are left to reminisce about the good times and the unforgettable stories.

Jerry’s circle of special friends, Jeff, Reese, Terry, and Shannon, will surely raise a glass in his honor, celebrating a life lived with gusto and a spirit that never quit. Though the details of his services are yet to be determined, one thing is certain: Jerry’s memory will continue to ride on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
