Nancy McCormick Nicholson, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, August 14, 2025.
Nancy was a Beloved Mom, Grandmother and wife. She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 33 years, Raymond Bernard Nicholson, Sr.
Mom loved dancing, great food, and family. Additionally, she loved flounder fishing, crafting and traveling.
She graduated from Newport News High School in 1957. She belonged to the local sorority, where she became the state of Virginia beauty pageant contestants’ chaperone for approximately 7 years all while working and caring for her 3 children.
Nancy had an incredible capacity to work in real estate, which she enjoyed and later as an industrial claim rep. where she was valued at her previous place of employment, Driggs in Maryland.
She was a longtime Newport News resident before moving to Tappahannock where she shared her 40+ retirement years with friends and family.
Mom had a servant’s heart and lovingly cared for her family and friends.
She is survived by her three children, Stephen C. Rossman, Della McSheffrey, Keith Rossman; her Granddaughters, Debbie Sherouse, Diane Hossinger, Rebekah Rossman; her Great-Grandchildren, Wyatt McCracken, Jeriah Rossman, Micah Isaacson, Imogene Webb, Millie Webb, Clementine Webb.
Mom, we all love you and miss you.
