On Wednesday, July 30, 2025, Muriel Shantell King was called to her eternal home. She was born July 20, 1992, to Johnathan and Shirley King. Muriel was a hard working mother with three beautiful children.
Muriel accepted Christ at an early age and was baptized at Parrish Hill Baptist Church. After joining Parrish Hill Baptist church, she joined the Children’s Choir, and the Gospel Power Pack. In 2024, she became a member of Liberty Baptist Church.
Muriel had a passion for driving. After greaduating from Lafayette High School in 2010, she attended Shippers Choice CDL Training School and received her CDL License. She then obtained employment and began driving tractor trailers across the country. She later obtained employment in Charlotte, North Carolina with Silver Back Trucking company, as a dump truck driver and continued employment until her illness.
Muriel had a kind heart, always willing to help and was very thoughtful. She loved singing, dancing, music, shopping, and working with her hands. She loved everyone ad had a smile that would brighten up the room. Muriel was a loving, nurturing, and attentive mother, a loving daughter, sister, and friend. Muriel was preceded in death by her grandfather, Silas Paige, Sr.; and grandmothers, Lucy Dobson and Thelma King.
Muriel leaves to cherish her memories, her beloved parents, Johnathan and Shirley King; her cherished children, Mekhi, Maalik, and Karye King; her devoted sister, Shirnell Charity; bonus sister and brother, Curteisha and Curtis Charity, Jr; nieces, Jaida, Shayla, Shiyah, Harmoni, and Symphoni Charity; nephew, Jaiden Charity; grandmother, Shirley Paige, of Charles City, VA; a special and devoted companion, Khaled Abdullah; aunts, Linda Tyler (Cecil), of Charles City, VA, Tonya Blizzard-Paige, of Dinwiddie, VA, Ruth King and Muriel Roach (Orviel), of Jacksonville, Florda, Elnora King, of Barbados, West Indies; uncles, Silas Paige, Jr., of Hopewell, VA, and David King, of England, UK; devoted cousins, Alexis Paige, Tiara Paige, TreAndre Paige, and Shantell Palmer; best friends, Dawn Hicks, and Octavia Miller, and a host of family and friends.
