Russell Earl Joyner, 79, Sunday April 20, 2025.
Earl was a native and lifelong Seaford resident. He graduated from York High School in 1964. He retired from York County Fire and Rescue in 2001 after 21 years while serving most of his career as IAFF Local Union President. He was also a certified marine surveyor, owner of Lighthouse Marine Surveying and member of the International Association of Marine Investigators. He retired from the Army Reserves after 39 years as MSG8.
He is survived by his loving wife of 58 years Julie Breeze Joyner and his sons Mike Joyner (Carey) and Russell Joyner (Rosemary); his sisters, Barbara Wornom (Billy) and Nancy Swetz (David) 3 grandchildren, Audrey Joyner, William Joyner and Ethan Joyner and numerous nieces and nephews and Wilbert his beagle.
The family will receive friends on Saturday at 3:00 PM with Fireman’s Honors followed at 4:00 PM all at Amory Funeral Home.
