Patricia Ann Williams, born on December 28, 1940, in Boston, Massachusetts, passed away peacefully on April 6, 2025, in Williamsburg, Virginia, at the age of 84. She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend who touched the lives of many with her warmth and compassion.
Patricia was the cherished daughter of the late Olive and James Cleary. She grew up in a loving family alongside her siblings, James and Mary Cleary. Throughout her life, Patricia remained deeply connected to her roots and carried the values instilled in her by her parents.
A dedicated professional, Patricia worked in finance, where she was known for her integrity and commitment. Her colleagues admired her for her diligence and the grace with which she approached every challenge.
Beyond her professional life, Patricia found joy in knitting, a hobby she pursued with passion and skill. She was also an active member of the James City County Recreation Center, where she formed lasting friendships and shared her love of community.
Patricia was a devout member of St. Olaf Church, where she worshipped faithfully and participated in numerous church activities. Her faith was a cornerstone of her life, providing her with strength and guidance.
Above all, Patricia was a devoted mother and wife. She leaves behind her loving husband, Robert Williams, who was her steadfast partner in life. Together, they raised three wonderful children: Regina, Suzanne, and Thomas James Williams, who is married to Tricia. Patricia’s legacy continues through her cherished grandchild, Corey Sobey, who brought immense joy to her life. Patricia is preceded in death by her beloved parents, Olive and James Cleary.
The family will receive friends on Friday, April 11, 2025 from 10 AM to 11AM with service to immediately follow at St. Olaf Catholic Church. Burial will take place on Saturday, April 12, 2025 at 10 AM at Mt. Calvary Cemetery in Richmond.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in Patricia’s honor to the Alzheimer’s Association, reflecting her compassionate spirit and desire to help others.
