David L. “Hatch” Hatcher II (Vincent Funeral Home)

David L. “Hatch” Hatcher II, 54, of Charles City County, passed away peacefully in his sleep on February 01,2025.

He was preceded in death by his granny, Elsie Hatcher and his mother, Kris Canaday.

Hatch is survived by his long-time companion, Angel Jenkins, and her children, Ronnie Jenkins, Jermey McGary, Victoria Jenkins and daughter Jolene; his Pop, Glenn Canaday; three sisters, Katie Canaday (William), Kim “Princess” Cridlin (Jayme) and Sara Seeterlin (D.J.); three nephews, Corbin David, Conner Cridlin and Jamie Seeterlin; three nieces, Morgan “Pudding Pop” Allen, Caitlin “Lil Princess” Cridlin, and Gracie Seeterlin; as well as a special cousin, Celeste “Consuwela” Stewart; and a host of cousins and friends.

Hatch started out drilling wells for Gammon Well and Sydnor. He traveled to other states for his well drilling work until he followed in his Pops footsteps and found his passion for driving 18 wheelers. Hatch worked for Renegade Express and KST hauling containers from ports in the tidewater area.

Hatch was a die-hard Steelers fan who loved watching the game with friends. In addition to his love of football was the immense love he had for his nieces and nephews.

A viewing will be held on from 11 AM to 1 PM, Monday, February 10, 2025, at Vincent Funeral Home, Providence Forge, VA with the funeral service beginning at 1 PM. Interment will follow in Samaria Baptist Church Cemetery. Repast to follow at the Tribal Center.
