Charles Allen Bykkonen, age 85, passed away peacefully on February 3, 2025 in Virginia Beach, Virginia. He was born August 9, 1939 in Detroit, Michigan and was a longtime resident of Redford Twp.,Michigan.
Charles was a loving father and grandfather. He enjoyed bowling, hanging out at the local diner, and attending baseball games. He had a great sense of humor and loved to make others laugh. He had a wonderful community of friends and was always willing to help them in their times of need. He was a lifetime member of the Shriners and Scottish Rites organizations.
Charles was preceded in death by his parents, Aune Morical and Charles Bykkonen; and brother, Daniel Bykkonen.
He is survived by his daughters, Tania (David) Anderson and Alise Alptekin; grandchildren, Berk and Taner Alptekin and Reagan and David Anderson.
A celebration of Charles’ life will take place in Michigan at a later date.
