Eugene Thomas, 50, of Virginia, passed away on January 24, 2025. Born on April 8, 1974, in New York, Eugene was a devoted fan of New York sports teams, passionately cheering for the Mets, Yankees, and Giants throughout his life.
Eugene was preceded in death by his parents, Edward C. Thomas and Norma Caldwell. Following his mother’s passing in 2021, Eugene deepened his faith and became an active member of the Emmanuel Lutheran Church congregation. His service to the church included volunteering as an usher and dedicating his time to helping the less fortunate in his community.
Known for his warm spirit and generous heart, Eugene made a profound impact on his church family and all who knew him. He leaves behind a legacy of kindness and service, cherished by those he touched through his unwavering dedication and care.
He will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by his congregation and friends.
