Corinne E. Carter, of Charles City, VA, was born June 11, 1939, to the late Ellis and Juanita Carter. She entered into eternal rest at her daughter’s home, December 21, 2024.
Corinne accepted Christ at an early age and became a member of Elam Baptist Church. Corinne was employed at the Pines Convalescent Home where she cared for elderly patients until her retirement. She also worked for Charles City County Parks and Recreation doing various jobs. Corinne was an active person. You could always pass by and see her hard at work in various flower beds. She also enjoyed arts and crafts, sewing and doing bead work.
Corinne volunteered at the Cornerstone in Providence Forge, VA. When her health started to decline and she could no longer live alone, she moved in with her daughter. Where she was cared for and loved until the end of this earthly life. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ellis and Juanita Carter; son, Glen Carter; brothers, Vernon Carter and Bobbie Carter; sisters, Bernice Taylor, Joyce Carter, and Arlene Wallace.
Left to cherish her memories are her loving daughters, Cresendo Crawley (Cornell), Cynthia Carter, and Tresa Whitehead (Elder James, who was also a devoted caregiver); her son, Lawarren Carter (Shyleia); her sister, Juanita Thorne (Angelo); grandchildren and great grandchildren, along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friend.
