Virginia Teal Geiger (Cremation Society of Virginia)

Virginia Teal Geiger, 36, passed away unexpectedly on August 29, 2024, after a period of illness, changing lives forever.

Teal was born at Williamsburg Community Hospital on October 17, 1987. She attended Walsingham Academy, Jamestown Elementary, James Blair Middle, St. Catherine’s, and graduated in 2006 from Jamestown High School in Williamsburg.

She obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting at Virginia Commonwealth University and earned her Master’s degree in Accounting at San Francisco State University in California.

Teal earned her CPA license while employed with Frank, Rimerman + Co. LLP, a CPA firm headquartered in Palo Alto California. She continued to work remotely with the firm after returning to Virginia in 2024. Her never-ending desire to expand her knowledge and understanding was evident, as she was working toward another master’s degree in psychology. Her desire was to coach young professionals using her Myers Briggs certification, coupled with her unique intuitive and empathic ability to help discern causes of, and develop skills for, managing stress and overwhelm in today’s fast paced, challenging and rapidly changing world.

Teal was an officer in the Junior League of Palo Alto and The Princess Project. She volunteered at the Dancing Cat in San Jose. She initiated and participated in numerous social, professional and special interest groups.

Teal was beautiful inside and out; her gentle, caring, loving and sensitive nature was evident to all.

She leaves behind many grieving friends and family: her parents, James R. Geiger and Martha W. Geiger; step-father Dr. Robert W. Bedinger Jr., step-mother Mary Beth Murphy, Walton and Nancy Geiger Bondurant, Kenneth and Ruth Walters Webb, Shelby and Linda Walters Blankenship, George and Carol Walters Armentrout, and Phyllis Walters Goin, numerous cousins, step siblings, Patrick Gold, devoted friends and her beloved cat of 16 years, Peachy.
