Nikolas “Nik” Staniuf Zaprazny, 32, of New Kent, formerly of West Point, VA passed away October 8, 2024.
Nik loved watching sports all types of sports with his family and friends. He especially enjoyed watching the Philadelphia Phillies play baseball, the Philadelphia Flyers play hockey, and the Philadelphia Eagles play football. He was a military history enthusiast who loved metal music, crunchy peanut butter, Dr. Pepper and Genos Philly cheesesteaks.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Joseph Staniuf; paternal grandparents, John and Joan Zaprazny; and his uncle Joseph “Joey” John Staniuf, III.
Nik is survived by his loving girlfriend, Rachel Toward; his two dogs, Jeezy and Panda Bear; his parents, John and Tina Zaprazny; brother, Tyler Zaprazny; grandmother, Dorothy Staniuf; paternal uncles, David (Pam) and Donald (Ann); and an aunt, Phyllis.
A funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Monday, October 14th at West Point Christian Church, 290 W. Euclid Blvd, West Point, VA 23181. Interment will follow in Jerusalem Christian Church Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the National M.S. Society, or to the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention, or to any domestic abuse program.
