Edith was born in Lanexa, Virginia on February 9, 1928 to Sarah and Robert Martin. She was the youngest of 7 siblings and 7 half siblings.
She was married to Richard P. Thrall (preceded) for 52 years and Alex N. Dinwiddie (preceded) for 3 years. Edith had 5 children, Becky Alexander, Janet Curtis (Lee), Robin, Richard (preceded), Martin (Tracy), and stepson Norman Dinwiddie (Carolyn).
She had 14 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren and 8 great-great grandchildren.
She loved knitting, crocheting and word search books. She was a homemaker and wrote a cookbook and her own biography.
She was a family woman from beginning to end and will be missed by many.
