Jingo’s faith was strong and he passed into the arms of Jesus in August, 2024.

Joel spent his childhood in Arlington and Fairfax, VA when his father was the Defense and Naval Attache in the Philippine Embassy, Washington, DC in the early 70’s.

He attended Greenbrier West Elementary School in Fairfax before going home to the Philippines with his parents and completed his high school at the UP Integrated High School.

Jingo had a passion for his faith, travel, and food. He traveled the world, visiting more than 40 countries on faith pilgrimages and trips with family and friends. His last trip was to Lake Tahoe where he gloried in the beauty of the mountains. Joel embraced his friendships through sharing meals, and many of us will remember our favorite times laughing and enjoying his company while discovering a new restaurant.
