Kathryn C. Acker made her final transition the morning of July 1st, 2024, uniting her again with her loving husband, Harry.
Kathy was born April 1st, 1944, in Havre de Grace, Maryland, to the late Henry F. Coudon, Sr., and Mary Elizabeth Dietrich Coudon of Perryville, Maryland.
Kathy attended Perryville High School where she was very active in sports and various social and school activities. From there, Kathy attended the American School of Paris in Paris, France, where she completed her studies and enjoyed touring various European countries before returning to the United States. Upon her return, Kathy attended Saint Mary’s College of Maryland in Saint Mary’s City, Maryland.
The compassion for those in need was expressed by Kathy through her volunteer work. She especially enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. Garden Club, Book Club, and the Saturday night dinners after attending Mass were always a fun way for her to spend time with her dear friends. Every Sunday was a joy for Kathy as she was able to spend time with Tom, Kelli, and her grandchildren.
Kathy is survived by her son, Tom, and his wife, Kelli, and grandchildren McKayla and Alex. She is also survived by her sister, Ann Coudon Robbins and brothers, Thomas W.L. Coudon and Edward D. Coudon. In addition to her husband, Harry, Kathy was predeceased by her brother, Henry F. Coudon, Jr., sisters Mary E. McDermott and Clarita D. Coudon.
Funeral services will be on July 20th, 2024, at 11 a.m. at the Church of the Holy Family in Virginia Beach, Virginia.
