Harold J. Addington, Jr., PhD, was born on July 15, 1953, in Virginia, and passed away on June 12, 2024, in his home state at the age of 70.
Dr. Addington was a distinguished child psychologist with a career that spanned several decades. He earned his Doctorate from Virginia Commonwealth University and went on to make significant contributions in his field through his work at St. Leo’s University, Portsmouth Naval Medical Center, and his private practice.
He was a devoted member of the Star of the Sea Catholic Church, where his faith and dedication were well known.
Dr. Addington is survived by his loving wife, Katherine Addington, and a host of family and friends who will miss him dearly.
A private inurnment will be held in the columbarium of Star of the Sea Catholic Church in Virginia Beach, VA.
