Gary F. Bargatze, 78, of Williamsburg, Va. passed away on Wednesday, June 12. He was born to the late Robert and Katie Bargatze on August 11, 1945.
Gary is preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Fred O. Bargatze.
Gary achieved his bachelor’s and master’s degree at Indiana University. He was a member of Phi Beta Kappa Society and the Train Collectors Association.
Gary was an author who started a successful international business, Rigor Hill Publishing, and penned eight novels in the Warfield Series. He had a love for running and was a long-distance runner for 58 years; running over 92,000 miles. Gary enjoyed music, traveling and loved spending time with his family.
Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife, and the love of his life, Dianne Bargatze; sons, Dylan M. Bargatze and Sean C. Bargatze; and daughter-in-law,
Lisa M. Bargatze.
A celebration of his life will be held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, August 11, 2024, at Bucktrout Funeral Home and Crematory, 4124 Ironbound Rd. Williamsburg, Va.
