Myrtle Jane Davis, 79, passed away peacefully at her home in Virginia Beach on 6/1/24.
A native of Norfolk, she was the daughter of the late John T. Pierce and the late Sarah Nell Gibson Holland.
She was the wife of the late Jerry Davis, and the sister of the late Phyllis Keeling of Chesapeake.
She is survived by three sons, Doug Williams and wife Suzanne of Virginia Beach, David Williams and wife Lisa of Chesapeake, Danny Williams and wife Susan of Chesapeake. Jane is survived by seven grandchildren of Virginia Beach, Sarah Dawson, Savannah Williams, Kristina LeStrange, John David Williams, Jr., Emalee Williams, Ashlee Williams, and Kelsie Madison of Texas. She is also survived by her three great grandchildren, Kyle Dawson Jr, Levi and Emerson Madison and her nephew, Nathan Keeling of Texas.
Jane started her career in 1962 as a telephone operator with Chesapeake Potomac phone company, C & P Telephone. She retired with Bell Atlantic after more than 30 years of service as well as a retired union member of the communication workers of America the CWA.
She is a member of Rosemont Christian Church in Chesapeake.
Jane was an avid game player who enjoyed Rummikub, traveling and spending time with her family and friends.
She was a beloved Mother, Grandmother and Great Grandmother and will be deeply missed.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, June 5, 2024, between 3 pm and 5 pm at the Altmeyer Funeral Home, 5033 Rouse Drive, Virginia Beach.
Jane will be laid to rest at Albert G. Horton Jr. Memorial Veterans Cemetery with her late husband Jerry M. Davis at a later date.
