John Andrew Wilkinson, 61, passed away on Thursday, May 9, 2024.
He was born in Mount Holly, New Jersey and raised in Lee, Massachusetts. He graduated from Lee High School in 1981. Upon graduation, John served 4 years in the U.S. Navy aboard the USS Midway as an Avionics Specialist. After receiving an honorable discharge, he worked 35+ years for the U.S. Department of Defense, primarily as an IT Specialist.
John was preceded in death by his mother, Jane Wilkinson (née Kingsley); father, Brad Wilkinson and his longtime partner, Patricia Benton; and brother, Stephen Wilkinson. He is survived by his wife, Debi McGill-Wilkinson and her child, Ryan McGill; his children, Drew & Jane Wilkinson and their mother, Valerie Wilkinson; sister, Cindy Jordan (Reed); brother, David Wilkinson (Denise); sister in law, Susan Wilkinson; Patricia Benton’s children, Michael Benton (Tiffany) and Lisa Philbrick (Kelly); nephews, Bradley Wilkinson and Matt Jordan (Chelsea); nieces, Brooke Wilkinson, Erika White (Jay), and Aimee Philbrick; great-nieces, Nadia Odell, Natalea Odell, Emilia Jordan, and Charlotte White; and great-nephew, Rhys Jordan.
A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, May 24, 2024 at Weymouth Funeral Home. The family will receive friends following the service at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, John would want donations to be made to Southside SPCA, American Cancer Society or St. Jude Hospital in his memory.
