Ben “Pop Pop” Ivey, born on August 27, 1949, passed away peacefully on May 15, 2024, in Williamsburg, Virginia, at the age of 74.

Ben dedicated much of his professional life to Loyalty Chevrolet, where he earned numerous industry-specific certifications and awards. His commitment to excellence was evident in every task he undertook. A proud graduate of Southampton High School in 1967, Ben also served honorably in the Air Force, demonstrating his unwavering dedication to both his country and community.

He was preceded in death by his beloved mother, Janice Letterman, and his son, Sean Ivey. Ben is survived by his loving wife of 34 years, Connie Ivey; his son, Preston Ivey (Julie); his daughter, Heather Seltzer (Jeremy); his siblings, Cindy Wade and Gwyn Preston; and grandchildren, Jordan Ivey, Addison Seltzer, and Elyse Seltzer. He also leaves behind a legacy of love and laughter that will be remembered by his family and friends.

Ben found joy in watching football and NASCAR, and he had a unique talent for making people laugh and smile. His proudest moments were spent watching his children and grandchildren perform and compete in various events, always beaming with pride and joy.

Ben “Pop Pop” Ivey will be deeply missed, but his spirit and the memories he created will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
