Norma J. Natali, 95, passed away on Sunday, April 7, 2024 in Virginia Beach, Virginia, leaving behind three children, James Allen Natali (Beth), Jamie B. Natali (Vicki), and Jeanne B. Natali (Kate), four grandchildren, Jamie Natali Jr., Alison Natali, Joshua Natali, Jesse Isaly, nine great grandchildren, Madison Knight, Peyton Natali, Luca Natali, Maci Isaly, Channing Isaly, Finley Isaly, Berkley Isaly, Gianna Natali, Asher Hornsey, and a host of loved ones and friends.
Norma was born in Sunnyside, Pennsylvania on November 23, 1928, to James H. Beadling and Euphemia Davis Beadling. She graduated from Monongahela High School in 1945 and married the love of her life, Elmo Natali, when he returned from serving his country in Europe in 1946. The couple eventually settled into the college community of California, Pennsylvania to raise their family where Elmo built his career at the university and Norma earned her bachelor’s and master’s degrees at California University of Pennsylvania.
She enjoyed a 25-year teaching career in Ringgold School District at Ginger Hill School and Gastonville Elementary School. Following her retirement in 1993, Norma and Elmo enjoyed years of adventures, traveling with friends and spending time with their children and grandchildren. Norma loved a good bargain, had an uncanny ability for knowing which machine was about to hit, and always knew where all the best restaurants were.
She is preceded in death by her beloved husband of 73 years, Elmo Natali and brother Clare H. Beadling.
The family will receive friends beginning at 10 a.m. at Foundry United Methodist Church, 2801 Virginia Beach Blvd Virginia Beach, VA, 23452, and a celebration of life will follow at 11 a.m. Interment will be private under the direction of Altmeyer Funeral Home, Southside Chapel.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made in Norma’s name to Mothers Against Drunk Driving.
