Shirley N. Burcham (85) answered God’s call on March 26, 2024. She was the only daughter born to the late Charlie A. and N. Elder Slater, on June 2, 1938. Born and raised there, she was a lifelong resident of Lanexa, VA.
Shirley will be remembered dearly by her children Jeff Burcham, Mark Burcham and his wife Crystal, J.R. Burcham and his wife Karen, Ronda Smith and her husband Mike, Bart Burcham and his wife Debi, and grandchildren Kyle Burcham, Holly Dobson, Mallory Burcham, J. Burcham, Karianne Haga, Ethan Smith, Cory Burcham and Chris Taylor, as well as ten great-grandchildren, one great great-grandchild and countless extended family and friends who were blessed to know her.
She was preceded in death by her daughter-in-law, Nanette Burcham.
In keeping with Shirley’s wishes, no funeral or memorial service will be held.
