Steven Michael Deal, 59, of Williamsburg, VA passed away on Saturday, March 9, 2024. Steve was a lifelong area resident and graduate of Lafayette High School.
Steve was a generous, loving, kind man who will be missed by all who knew him. He was always looking for ways to help others. He spent most of his working career as a Master Carpenter specializing in trim. Steve was quick to help anyone in need, anything from home improvement projects to providing good times and laughter. Steve will be remembered for his love of time spent with family, from bonfires, to camping, or even a great game of cards.
He is survived by his mother, Diane Hedrick; father, Thomas Hogge; daughter, Ashley Taylor; son, Nathan Deal; grandchildren, Porter Taylor, Wyatt Deal, and Ellerie Taylor; siblings, Judy Jennings (Christopher), James Deal (Denise), Clifford Hogge, and Brandon Hogge; Aunt Janet Smith; nieces and nephews, Ryan (Colleen), Patrick (Stephany), Andrew (Chris), Megan (Cole), Alexis (Graham), Amber, and Alyssa; many great nieces and nephews; life long best friend, Andy Caputo; and many other loving friends and family.
He is preceded in death by his sister, Robin Forrest; and grandmother, Bertha Scaff “Bum Maw”.
A celebration of Steve’s life will be announced at a later date.
