Ruth Marie (Kline) Marshall, 77, died peacefully in Williamsburg, Virginia on January 28, 2024, with family by her side.
Born to Roy and Mary Kline in Hagerstown, Maryland on April 24, 1946, Ruth was a loving sibling to her older brother Ralph, older sister Patricia, and younger sister Barbara, all of whom predeceased her. She married the love of her life, Lee Evans Marshall in January 1967, and they were married just over 50 years before Lee passed in January 2017. Ruth is survived by son Christopher and his wife Felicia of Charleston, West Virginia, and son Kevin of Morrisville, North Carolina.
Ruth graduated from Washington County Hospital Nursing School in the spring of 1967. After working for years as a Registered Nurse, Ruth “took a break” to become a full-time mom, homemaker, school volunteer, soccer referee, ceramics enthusiast, shark tooth collector, and Ms. Pac-Man champion. Upon returning to Virginia, Ruth resumed her vocation, this time as a home healthcare Nurse Manager. She and Lee enjoyed retirement together, traveling to beaches and casinos. Ruth cherished time with friends and playing with her dachshunds, who will be waiting to greet her at the Rainbow Bridge.
