Phyllis Katherine Scarberry, a beloved wife, friend, and inspiration to all who knew her, passed away on November 6, 2023, in Virginia Beach, Virginia surrounded by her family and friends. She was born on May 30, 1943, in Norfolk, Virginia, to the late Wallace and Ruby Barry. She was blessed with a life full of love, joy, and cherished memories.
Throughout her life, Phyllis dedicated herself to her work as a business office supervisor for Verizon. Her strong work ethic and determination left a lasting impact on those she worked with, earning her the admiration and respect of her colleagues.
Beyond her professional achievements, Phyllis had a passion for spending time with her family and friends. She found immense happiness in their company, cherishing every moment shared together. Whether it was organizing family gatherings or simply enjoying lazy days at the beach, her warm presence and kind-hearted nature touched the lives of those around her.
Phyllis is survived by her loving husband, Dennis Scarberry, who stood by her side through the various seasons of life.
