Natalie Wanda “Bunny” Bragg was born on December 1, 1961. She was the Oldest of three children born to Constance and Edward Bragg Sr. On November 2, 2023, she transitioned from labor to reward in Hampton, Virginia. with her mother and fiancé holding her hands. Bunny received her elementary education in the District of Columbia public schools. After relocating to Cheverly, Maryland in 1975 she completed her remaining primary education in Prince George’s County Public Schools, graduating from Bladensburg Senior High School in 1981. Post high school, she attended and graduated from Washington Hospital Center School of Radiology in 1983.
On November 4, 1987, Bunny gave birth to her one and only son Ryan Bragg. Bunny loved that son of hers. Since Bunny and Penny were so close in age and Penny had one daughter Kaylee they spent a lot of time together, raising their children to be as close as siblings.
Bunny began a long career as a Radiology Technician working at Washington Hospital Center, Riverdale Radiology, and ended her Radiology career at Kaiser Permanente in 2007. In 2008 she relocated to Williamsburg, VA. She provided home health care for several years to her fiancé’s grandmother Ms. Magnolia Crawford. After Ms. Magnolia’s passing, Bunny joined the Consulate Health Care of Williamsburg. Her natural kind and loving disposition were evident in how she was always caring for others both personally and professionally.
After reuniting with her high school sweetheart Derrick Crawford and relocating to Williamsburg, she was welcomed with open arms by his parents, Fred and Juanita Crawford and they loved her endlessly. Their unwavering love and support were part of what motivated her to choose Williamsburg as her permanent home. She really loved the peace and tranquility Williamsburg had to offer. Spending endless time on the wrap-around porch, she became a staple on Powhatan Springs Rd. She saw many neighbors come to the community welcoming them all with her warmth. If you ever came to that house, you were guaranteed a good grilled meal and a loving environment. Let’s not forget, how clean and tidy she was. If you could look up a picture of organized, you would see her face. Don’t dare put a cup down. Before you knew it, that cup was washed, dried, and put away. Even the trash was organized. Everything had its place and she made sure things were where they needed to be.
She began her Christian experience at Mt. Paran Baptist Church, where she was a beloved Sunday School teacher. She worshipped often with Total Kingdom Building Baptist Ministries, her family’s church, in Landover Hills, Maryland.
