Ronald G. Bott, Jr., 66, passed away on Monday, September 30, 2023 in Hagerstown, MD. He was born at Scott AFB, in St. Clair County, IL to Ronald G. and Netta M. Bott. Ronald spent his youth as a military brat living in the United States as well as overseas for his first 16 years.
He graduated from Menchville High School in 1976 and remained a Newport News resident until entering the U.S. Marine Corps in 1981. He transferred to the U.S. Air Force in 1983 and remained in the military for 12 years. He worked as a Contractor for KBR Overseas Contracting in the Middle East. In later years, he had been a resident of Baltimore, MD, Martinsburg, WV and Hagerstown, MD. Ronald will be remembered for his warm smile, caring attitude and willingness to help others less fortunate than himself. He always found the best in everyone.
Ronald is survived by his parents; his sister, Karen Clemens; his brother, David Bott (Martha); his nephews, Michael (Avorie) Bott of Gloucester, VA and Spec Matthew (Nikayla) Bott, U.S. Army, Fort Johnson, LA and his niece, Stephanie Galley (Tim) of Athol, ID.
A private Graveside Service will be held at the Peninsula Memorial Park.
