Our beloved mother, Micki, Alice M. Yavorsky, passed quietly away on this day, September 29, 2023, after a long and full life.
She was born October 4, 1935, in Camden, New Jersey, the youngest and last surviving sibling of Harold and Mabel Bickerdyke.
She leaves behind three daughters, Laura Smith, Linda Ann Sykes, and Kim Yavorsky; two sons, John Yavorsky and Micheal Yavorsky; grandchildren, Shelly Smith, Michael Smith, Melissa Smith, Lincoln Stevens, Brittany Smith, Jake Yavorsky, Shauni Lawson and Ichabod Yavorsky, and a host of great grandchildren; a dear friend, Chuck Dickerson; and not to forget her beloved companion, Beau!
She always included everyone as one of her kids, and eventually all of them were calling her “mom.” She was gifted with a beautiful singing voice, and was as beautiful inside as out.
Micki was a source of strength and a wealth of knowledge to all, always setting the example, working harder and longer, giving more than ever taking. She was a woman of unwavering faith, stern, but utterly honest and fair, and a gifted artist and painter, most affectionately known for her 5* star kitchen!
