Rebecca Marie Ericson, born on January 3, 1981, in Pennsylvania, began her eternal journey on September 10, 2023, in Virginia Beach, Virginia. She lived a life filled with compassion, dedication, and an unwavering spirit that inspired all who knew her.
With an age spanning 42 years, Rebecca left an indelible mark on the lives she touched. Her career as a certified nursing assistant and Scentsy consultant allowed her to extend her caring nature to those in need, while bringing light and joy to many homes through Scentsy products.
Rebecca’s interests were as diverse as her spirit. She found immense happiness in spending cherished moments with her beloved daughter, Eliza Marie Roberts. Their bond was not just that of a mother and daughter, but of true best friends. Rebecca’s nurturing nature extended beyond her immediate family, as she cared for her grandparents during their time in hospice.
A true giver, Rebecca found joy in making others feel special. Whether it was through her love of cooking, baking, or her passion for collecting My Little Pony and Skylander figurines, she always had something thoughtful to share. She reveled in the magic of gift-giving, especially on birthdays and holidays, ensuring that everyone she loved felt appreciated and loved.
Rebecca’s zest for life was not limited to material pleasures. She found solace in playing video games, exploring thrift shops to uncover hidden treasures, and immersing herself in the great outdoors during camping trips. Each of these activities brought her unending joy and a sense of adventure.
In her pursuit of knowledge and personal growth, Rebecca attended Thomas Nelson Community College. There, she graduated as a Certified Nursing Assistant, further cementing her commitment to caring for others. In addition, she expanded her horizons by becoming a Dental Assistant through her studies at Practical Dental Assisting of Virginia Beach.
As the pages turned in her life’s book, Rebecca discovered a new-found love for scripture. It became her guiding light, providing her with a renewed sense of purpose and spirituality.
Rebecca Marie Ericson was preceded in death by her brother Stephen Ericson Jr., paternal grandparents Richard and Phyllis Ericson, and maternal grandparents Jay P. Clymer Jr. and Jeanette Clymer. She is survived by her loving daughter Eliza Marie Roberts, dedicated parents Stephen Sr. and Julie Ericson, caring sister Joy Nice, loving brother Timothy Ericson, and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Services to honor Rebecca’s life will be held on September 30 at 6 p.m. at Altmeyer Funeral Homes Southside Chapel in Virginia Beach. Following the service, a reception will be held to celebrate the beautiful memories she leaves behind.
Rebecca Marie Ericson will always be remembered as a dedicated and loving mother, whose greatest joy in life was her daughter. Her unwavering care extended not only to her family but also to those who were sick and in need. Rebecca had a genuine passion for giving and always thought of others before herself.
