Capt. David Leo Wheeler, Sr., USN Ret., 82, passed away August 16, 2023. He is the son of the late Edward and Lucille Wheeler. David served his country proudly in the United States Navy enlisting as a seaman recruit, later obtaining the rank of Captain and retiring following 43 years of dedicated service.
He is survived by his loving wife; Martha Jean Wheeler, children; David Wheeler, Jr. and his wife, Kristi, Andrew Wheeler and his wife, Erika, Julia Wheeler, Melanie combs and her husband, Cameron, sister; Mary Ann Dunbar; grandchildren; Henry, Maggie, Zak, Dylan, John and nephews Scott and Mike.
David will be dearly missed by all who knew him.
