Jean Roane Jenkins, 79, of Shacklefords, Va. passed away on July 2, 2023.
She loved cats with all of her heart. She also enjoyed eating a meal out at a good restaurant, and traveling to the Outer Banks and the mountains.
Jean was preceded in death by her husband, Percy Jenkins; her parents, Elizabeth and John Roane; and a sister, Judy Reaves.
She is survived by her two brothers, John Roane (Vickie), Sherman Roane; a sister, Lena Hill; her feline child, “Foxy”, special niece, Dawn Proffitt, and many extended family members and friends.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, July 7 at Vincent Funeral Home; 417 11th St. West Point, Va. The family will receive friends from 10-11am prior to the service. Interment immediately following the service in Beulah Church cemetery, Saluda, Va.
