Ann Morrison Grasty, 87, passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, June 4, 2023, in Williamsburg, Virginia, where she had lived with her daughter’s family for the past eleven years.
Born April 11, 1936, in the former Elizabeth City County (Hampton), Virginia, Ann was a lifelong Peninsula resident. She was a graduate of Warwick High School in the class of 1954, retired from civil service at Ft. Eustis in 1995, and was a former member of West Hampton Baptist Church.
Ann enjoyed many family trips to her favorite vacation spot, the Outer Banks, as well as having birthday lunches with her cousins and friends. But most of all, her greatest joy in life was being “Tee-Tee” and spending time with her three beloved grandchildren.
Ann was preceded in death by her parents, Ellen Ware and William L. Morrison, and her brother, Bill Morrison.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory, her daughter and son-in-law, Laura and Tracy Jennings of Williamsburg, VA; her grandchildren, Patrick Quinn of Alexandria, VA, Katie Quinn and Nick Jennings of Williamsburg, VA; her brother Ware Morrison and his wife Nancy of Virginia Beach, VA; her sister-in-law, Barbara Morrison of Lake Waccamaw, NC; as well as her much-loved cousins, nieces, and nephews.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m., Saturday, June 10, 2023, at Vincent Funeral Home in West Point, Virginia, officiated by James R. Grasty, Jr. A private interment will take place at Sunny Slope Cemetery in West Point at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to be made in Ann’s memory to the American Red Cross at www.redcross.org, the Heritage Humane Society at www.heritagehumane.org, or to a charity of your choice.
