Anna Hollins, 74, in Gloucester

Anna Hollins (Vincent Funeral Home)

Anna Hollins, age 74, passed peacefully on April 14, 2023, at Sanders Retirement Village in Gloucester, Virginia.

Anna lived her life in Lanexa before moving to Gloucester in 2021 to be closer to family. She was the only child of Ellsworth and Alice Hollins who predeceased her. She is survived by her son, Dennis W. Leonituk, Jr, his wife Christa, and their son, Jalen, of Lanexa; and her daughter, Shelly Latoski, her husband John, and their daughter, Sydney, of Gloucester. Even though she was an only child, she grew up surrounded by many aunts, uncles, and cousins who were like brothers and sisters to her.

Anna retired from James City County Division of Social Services after 26 years of dedicated service. In her free time, she loved being on the water relaxing or fishing. She also loved to travel and had a goal to visit all 50 states. Unfortunately, her health prevented her from reaching that goal, but she came close. Anna’s bubbly and carefree personality shone bright until the end. She made many friends during her time at Sanders Assisted Living, even endearing many of their family members.

The family will receive visitors at Vincent Funeral Home, West Point on Thursday, April 27 from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. followed by a Rosary service officiated by Father Oscar Paraiso. A private burial will take place at Liberty Baptist Church at a later date.
