Thelma W. Seward, 99, of West Point VA, went to be with her Lord and Savior Saturday April 1, 2023.
Thelma was a faithful member of Poroporone Baptist Church where she served in various roles throughout her life. Thelma loved the Lord!
She was preceded in death by her devoted husband of 65 years, Richard G. Seward; a son, Ricky A. Seward; three sisters; twin brothers and her parents.
Thelma is survived by her son, Richard Dale Seward and his wife, Mary Ann; daughter-in-law, Diane Norman; her brother, Frank Carlton and his wife, Jean; five grandchildren Tammy Haden (Rob), Steve Seward (Heather), Jennifer Leonard (John), Danielle Blackwell (B.G.) and Megan Welby (Donny); eight great-grandchildren, four nieces and two nephews.
A funeral service will be held 2 PM Wednesday, April 5 at Poroporone Baptist Church, Shacklefords VA. with burial following in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends 6-8 PM Tuesday at Vincent Funeral Home, West Point VA.
