Royster, Mary Lou Alice Adams, 95, of New Kent was received by the Lord on February 15, 2023. She was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, John F. Royster, Sr.; a daughter, Alice Faye Jones; a grandson, Robert T. Royster, Jr. Mary is survived by her children, John Royster, Jr., Tommy (Mendy), Wendy Pierce (Joe), Terry (Marsha), Ann Englehart (Bruce); one brother, Willott Adams; her grandchildren, Lara Sweet, Lisa Hilton, Jaime Royster, Karen Rhoten, Lacy Hicks, Ashley Royster and Bruce Englehart, Jr., also 10 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren. Momma was a wonderful and loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She was known as Nanny to the world. She loved flowers and birds, she really was at her happiest when outside working in the dirt, planting her flowers. She retired after many years with Verizon. The family suggest those wishing to send flowers, please have your florist deliver to the funeral home by 4:00 PM, Tuesday, February 21, 2023.
